On April 24, 2023 Farrior and Sons joined Hite Associates and Duplin Co. Schools in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new 5,037 square feet multi-purpose gym addition at Beulaville Elementary School.  This new gym’s construction consists of structural steel columns, beams, joist and decking.  The walls are all constructed of CMU block.  The exterior consists of brick veneer up to 9 feet and metal standing seam wall panels above the brick.  The roof is metal standing seam with gutters and downspouts.

 

The interior of the gym consists of a large play area with (2) basketball goals and a volleyball court with net.  There are boys and girls restrooms, a coach’s office, large equipment storage room with shelving, a custodian room and an electrical and fire sprinkler room.  This new gym also has a connecting corridor that ties the new gym to the existing classroom wing.  New sidewalks were constructed around the perimeter of the gym and tie into the older existing sidewalks.  This new gym is the first addition to the school since it was built back in 1996.
