Trenton EMS Groundbreaking
July 10th 2024
On July 10th Farrior and Sons, Inc. joined Jones County, to celebrate the ground breaking of their new EMS Station in Trenton. This is the first of two EMS stations Farrior and Sons is constructing, the other located in Pollocksville.
This new 3,500 Sq Ft EMS station is a Pre-engineered metal building that will feature 2 vehicle bays, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office, a day room, and a kitchen. This new facility will help cut down response times for the emergency services department to remote parts of Jones County. Ryan Mills, the current Jones County Emergency Services Director, noted the significance of the new EMS station. “Jones County EMS operates out of one location in Trenton, but response times to the outer edges of the county can be 15 to 20 minutes,” Mills said. “This new station will reduce those times and ensure faster emergency medical care.” Construction is scheduled to begin in August and completion of the facility is scheduled for the spring of 2025.
